chekd — Refund Policy

Effective July 12, 2026. LemonSqueezy is our Merchant of Record for payments.

1. Subscription: cancel anytime, no further billing

chekd Plus is a monthly subscription ($9.99/mo at the Founding Member launch price). You can cancel at any time through the LemonSqueezy customer portal (linked from your receipt and from chekd’s Settings → License) — no phone call, no chat gauntlet, no retention maze. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period: you keep chekd Plus access until then, and you are never billed again after that. We don’t do partial-period refunds for cancellation, except where §2 or your local law requires otherwise.

What you keep after cancelling. Your local artifacts and correction corpus remain yours and remain readable and exportable. At the end of the paid period you return to the then-current Free plan. Cancellation stops future use of the model-backed DESIGN/taste pass, FULLFIX apply and re-check, fixed-site preview, and chekd-ON; it never removes or blocks your existing local data.

2. 14-day money-back on your first charge

If chekd Plus isn’t for you, email hello@chekd.net or contact LemonSqueezy within 14 days of your first charge and we’ll refund it, no interrogation. Charges for a renewal period you didn’t intend are likewise eligible for refund if you contact us within 14 days of that charge. Nothing in this policy limits non-waivable consumer rights in your jurisdiction.

Mandatory consumer rights still apply. This voluntary policy does not replace rights that cannot be waived. For EU/UK digital content, any loss of the statutory withdrawal right applies only when checkout captures the legally required prior express consent, acknowledgment, and contract confirmation; otherwise we do not treat that right as waived.

3. How license expiry works

Normal chekd Plus subscription keys are signed, verified offline, and contain an expiry date. While your subscription is active, the license-administration flow can issue a fresh expiring key. If the subscription lapses, is refunded, or ends, we stop issuing fresh terms; a key already on your machine may continue to pass technical validation only until its signed expiry.

• A refund or termination may end your legal right to paid features before that technical expiry; in that case, you agree to stop using the paid features and delete the key.
• A founder or promotional key expressly issued without an expiry is perpetual at the technical validator, but remains subject to the terms disclosed when it was issued.
• Your existing local artifacts and corpus remain readable and exportable regardless.

4. How refunds are executed

Purchases are processed by LemonSqueezy as Merchant of Record, so refunds are executed by LemonSqueezy back to your original payment method, typically within a few business days of approval (bank posting times vary). LemonSqueezy also reserves its own right to issue refunds (e.g., to head off a chargeback) within its own window, under its buyer terms.
